Adventure Sunderland is Sunderlands’ new £1m Watersports Centre overlooking Roker beach.

Operated by the Charity The Marine Activities Centre; its’ objective is to provide access to outdoor activities to all sections of the community.

The Centre can offer opportunities to both organised groups and individuals alike. The Marine Activities Centre is licensed by the Adventurous Activities Licensing Service to deliver the activities, is a Recognised Training Centre for both the Royal Yachting Association and the British Canoe Union.  The Centre now holds the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge and the AAIAC Adventure Mark.

our buildingFacilities in the new building include state of the art changing and shower facilities as well as a large room with attached kitchen where students can eat packed lunches. All equipment, wet suits, spray tops, helmets and buoyancy aids are supplied. All your students need to bring is swimming costume, long sleeved tee or sweat shirt (synthetic fibres preferably, not cotton), towel, an old pair of trainers and a refundable 50p coin for the lockers.
All participants under 18 years old will need to provide a completed Parental Consent Form to participate in the activities.

Room Hire
The Centre has two meeting rooms available for hire. Teas/coffees can be provided. Buffet lunches can be arranged by the Snowgoose café or alternatively groups can make their own arrangements. There is also a soft drinks dispenser available
